Applegreen is in a rapid growth phase and to support this ambitious growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Group Search Engine Optimisation Executive to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in in enhancing our online visibility and driving traffic to our business across global maps, apps, search engines, voice assistants, directories and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO principles, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. The successful candidate will be a confident people person who can take ownership and adopt a hands-on approach to their role. This role reports to the Head of Digital & Partnerships. Key Responsibilities: As Applegreen expands, the responsibilities will evolve and change over time. The core responsibilities will centre around the following areas: Local SEO strategy development: · Develop and execute a comprehensive local SEO strategy driving organic traffic and increased online visibility for all store listings across the Applegreen group. · Conduct in-depth research on SEO trends, user behaviour, and emerging technologies. · Manage external agencies ensuring they align with the strategy. Monitor agency performance and deliverables. Local SEO management and optimisation: · Create, manage, and optimise location listings across the Applegreen group of brands to enhance local search visibility across global maps, apps, search engines, voice assistants, directories and more. · Ensure consistency and accuracy of business across all search platforms. · Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify relevant local search terms and phrases that align with our target audience and business goals. · Utilise management platforms to maximise their efficiency. · Utilise analytics tools to track performance and identify optimisation opportunities. · Collaborate with cross functional teams including Customer Care, Operations, Brand, Marketing etc. to improve the business’s overall online visibility and deliver an effective backlinking and content plan. Analysis and Reporting: · Monitor and analyse local search engine rankings, competitor insights and website traffic to measure the effectiveness of SEO performance. · Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to local SEO. · Prepare regular reports on local SEO performance and provide recommendations to improve local search visibility. · Implement strategies to track and measure the impact of SEO efforts on in-store footfall. Website Optimisation: · Ensure website technical health and optimise website content, to improve search engine rankings through mobile friendliness, optimising page speed and addressing technical SEO issues etc. Digital Strategy . Support the overall digital strategy from concept through to implementation and ongoing continuous improvement. The Candidate should have the following: Qualifications and Skills · Strong understanding of local SEO principles, technical SEO, ranking factors, local search algorithms and best practices. · Proficiency in using local SEO platforms and other relevant SEO tools [e.g SEMrush, Moz etc.] · Experience with Google My Business management. · Experience with voice-activated devices and platforms. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Knowledge of HTML and CSS. · Strong understanding of Google Analytics and Search Console. · Experience managing external agencies. Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice
The Trade of Carpentry & Joinery is very wide and varied, it encompasses most of the skills required by the Wood Trades. These skills required of the Carpenter & Joiner are not confined to those required to work in wood but include skills in the use of metals, plastics and fabrics. The Carpenter & Joiner is also required to work in a cross section of domains within the overall trade. The following are some examples: Joinery Shop: This section of the occupation requires the Carpenter & Joiner to engage in setting out, production and assembling items of joinery which include stairs, doors, windows and built-in furniture. Site Work: Site work is the construction of buildings or houses which require 1st fixing, formwork roofs and 2nd fixing. This section is split into two categories, constructing/civil engineering contracts. Maintenance: Maintenance work requires the Carpenter & Joiner to carry out a variety of tasks in general maintenance and upkeep of public and private buildings, e.g. shops and factories. There are other areas associated with the trade which include: renovating buildings, shopfitting, exhibition/display work. Typical tasks/responsibilities The farm technician will plan and schedule farm tasks and supervise key herd or crop operations such as milking, husbandry, grass management, and nutrition. The farm technician will oversee compliance with industry standards and regulatory measures relating to quality, bio-security, food assurance, health & safety, and environmental issues. They will take responsibility for designated herd and crop recording and administrative activities. They will assist in strategic farm planning and business performance evaluation. Option 1: • Have achieved a pass in the Leaving Certificate Established (NFQ Level 5)* or Vocational Programme (NFQ Level 5)*, obtaining a minimum grade O6/H7 in Maths** or a F2 in Foundation Maths, and O6/H7 in four other subjects. • A Major QQI level 5 (or higher) Award*. OR - Option 3 • Level 6 Specific Purpose in Farming programmes* OR-Option 4 • Αnyone working in the agricultural sector, 18 years old or older with have two full-time years of work experience in a land-based sector (such as farming, agricultural contracting, horticulture, forestry, aquaculture or the equine sector) deemed acceptable by employer and consortium and subject to the validation of supporting evidence and/or assessment process. * A qualification deemed equivalent on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications to any of the qualifications listed above. **Note – Where there is a mathematics requirement at Leaving Certificate Established or Vocational Programme, obtaining a minimum grade O6/H7 in Maths or a F2 in Foundation Maths, mature and international applicants may be required to demonstrate that they possess the required competency through the completion of a maths assessment. Note - The programme is through the medium of English and it is highly desirable that the applicant will meet CEF Level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Language).
