Routing Digital & Operations Officer
Salary: £37,035 - £38,626 per annum JOB PURPOSE: The post holder will assist the Senior Routing Digital & Operations Officer to operationally delivery training on hardware and software-based routing for frontline services across the Council to ensure optimised waste collection, street cleansing, weed-spraying and grasscutting services. In addition they will supervise the use of digital and other hardware devices required to ensure the efficient delivery of services within the Directorate and wider Council ensuring that staff and department managers are supported. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist the Senior Routing Digital & Operations Officer in the use of hardware systems to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services including, but not limited to, waste and recycling collections, parks and grounds maintenance operations, street cleansing and relevant environmental health operations. 2. Supervise the practical use of the hardware and software systems across the relevant service areas. Providing training and support to the officers and wider teams as required. 3. Assist in the maintenance of appropriate data for managers to ensure performance targets are achieved within relevant service areas. 4. Assist with the development of GIS tactical scenarios and highlight key performance metrics for management reporting and propose efficiencies ensuring delivery is achieved and targets met. 5. Assist with the maintenance of web-based routing systems in order to continuously monitor and maintain an optimised waste collection, street cleansing, weed-spraying and grass-cutting service including the collation of data required to benchmark the service as required. 6. Manage allocated projects based on improving performance and raising service standards on all relevant front-line services. 7. Liaise with managers and Supervisors in the development and delivery of operational service business plans and key operational services priorities. 8. Assist in the preparation of relevant information and reports to a variety of audiences including officers, trade unions and elected members. 9. Design and provide information in appropriate formats, including correspondence for residents with regard to schedule changes, collection points and general issues with the Service in their area. 10. What is a Naval Service Recruit A Naval Service Recruit enlists for General Service in the Other Ranks of the Defence Forces. After successfully completing the initial Recruit Training course a recruit passes out as an Ordinary Seaman and will then go onto their Branch Training Course before becoming qualified as an Able Body sailor in the Naval Service. Who we want Naval Service Recruits go on to form the backbone of the Irish Naval Service. Recruit training is 22 weeks in duration and is designed to develop a physically fit, disciplined and motivated person using basic military and naval skills in order to prepare them for further training in the Service. The Ordinary Rate regardless of Branch is a much valued member of the ships crew.
