The role: This is a one year placement based within one of our Engineering Departments where you will assist with the provision of engineering support to ensure continuous improvement of productivity and production of products of maximum quality. Job Duties: Work alongside Engineers/Supervisors to help provide engineering support to relevant areas, for example assisting with developing process improvements. Monitor daily production, data input and carry out troubleshooting. Review customer rejects Undertake any specific projects as required. Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures. Participate with team working, information sharing and Continuous Improvement Programmes. Comply with the Company Environmental Policy and the requirements of the Environmental Management system both in normal and emergency situations. Other duties as assigned. Essential Criteria:

Job Purpose Working with the Elected Members, the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive and other members of the Executive Management Team to provide leadership and focus for the development of the Council as described in its vision and corporate plan. Influencing national and regional policy by effective lobbying to maintain the position of the Council as a leading local authority in Northern Ireland. Developing targeted, strategic partnerships to build the capacity of the organisation so that it can achieve its vision and deliver excellent services. The post holder will be expected to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs and requirements of the organisation, and duties and responsibilities may vary without changing the purpose of the job or level of responsibility. This includes leading on initiatives and undertaking duties of a similar nature and responsibility as and when required and directed by the Chief Executive or Deputy Chief Executive. The Job Description has been designed to reflect the multi-faceted dimension and complexity of Director posts and it is predicated on a changing environment, therefore flexibility and review is a potential element. The Director of Regulatory Services, Facilities & Assets has responsibility for leading on effective service delivery in Environmental Health; Planning Services; Building Control and Estates and Asset Management Services. This will include delivering on the Council’s Capital Programme and taking on the role of Senior Responsible Officer on major capital build projects. The Role: The Social Care Worker will report to the Social Care Leader/Team Leader and will fulfil a key worker role for individuals. Reporting/Responsible To: Social Care Leader/Team Leader/Service Coordinator/Area Manager Qualifications/Experience: · Candidates must have a HETAC/DIT/NQAI BA in Applied Social Studies/Social Care Open Training College (HETAC) accredited National Degree in Applied Social Studies (Disability) · Candidates should have a minimum of 2 year’s experience of working with people with an intellectual disability. Experience working with and supporting individuals with a variety of support needs is essential. · Experience supporting young adults with Autism, mental health difficulties or behavioural challenges is an advantage. · A full clean manual Driving Licence (Class B) is essential for the appointee to drive the transport that is assigned to the Service. · Fluency in verbal and written English and IT skills is an essential requirement of this post. Skills: Candidates must demonstrate: Working Hours: 78 hours a fortnight based on a 14 day duty roster. The successful candidate will be required to work days, weekends, public holidays, night duty and sleep-ins as required to meet service needs. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. Annual Leave: 22 days per annum. Appropriate service related leave will be granted after 5 and 10 years’ service respectively. Remuneration: Department of Health Social Care Worker salary scale (01/06/2024) - €36,945 x 10 increments - €51,743 (max) pro rata per annum. LSI €52,720 pro rata per annum is payable after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. Tenure: This post is permanent full-time and pensionable. Probation: A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post. The employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period should the employer find that the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment. The probation period may be extended at the Employer’s discretion.

This role comprises of two main elements. Firstly, the Support Worker is responsible for all aspects of personal care required by the individual child. This includes supporting children with their meals, personal hygiene and other related aspects of physical well-being, to the extent required by the individual. Secondly, a major focus of the Support Worker role is to assist and support the child through the development of Individual Plan’s and the achievement of associated outcomes, and critically, to support children in participating in the ordinary everyday life of the community through inclusive and creative thinking. Location: Roscommon Children’s Respite Service provides respite services to children up to 18 years of age who have a wide range of needs including those with Autism, physical, and complex medical needs and behavioural needs. Initial assignment to West Roscommon Services initially based in the Castlerea area. Future developments within the services may require that you are prepared to transfer to another work location as the service needs demand.
