Overview The primary focus of this role is to manage stock levels, build and maintain relationships and to oversee all aspects of the purchasing of a specific category of stock. This includes maintaining and updating price files, managing product shortages and sourcing alternatives and new lines as required by the business. We require the best terms and service from our suppliers and the Category Manager must manage both stock and information on behalf of the business. Excellent communication is key to this role. Regular liaison with the warehouse, transport and sales teams is essential to ensure that the supply the chain process operates to its full potential and meet the demands of the business. District Manager
Job Title: District Manager Reports To: Channel Engagement Manager Department: Channel Management Location: Ireland – Leinster Hours of Work: 37.5 hours weekly Job Overview: Provide key support to the Channel Engagement Managers by effectively managing and providing a point of escalation to an assigned portfolio of test delivery points across the ROI region. Ensure there is adequate staff hired and trained across delivery points. Provide coaching and training to managers in testing locations and make recommendations to improve performance at the test delivery points. Conduct proactive analysis of available data to identify areas of underperformance for intervention and implementing best practices. Instigate and manage remediation plans as required using a number of methods, including remotely and in person to conduct site audits, hiring activities and in-person training, including short-notice travel. City of Dublin ETB has 3,000 employees and an annual budget of €580m. It is the state education and training authority for Dublin city and serves the area covered by Dublin City Council. This provision is delivered to over 48,000 learners (20,000 full-time and 28,000 part-time) and is supported by a range of services including a psychological service, a curriculum development unit, a buildings maintenance unit and Head Office staff in Ballsbridge. It also has statutory responsibility for supporting the provision, coordination, administration and assessment of youth work services in Dublin city and is the lead partner for Music Generation Dublin City. City of Dublin ETB is also responsible for the national awarding authority for student grants in Ireland, Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI). Since its establishment 1983 Finglas Training Centre is embedded as the provider of several Phase 2 craft Apprenticeships trades in the area of Electrical, Motor Mechanics, Plumbing, Carpentry & Joinery and Sheetmetal, and a number of other FET Courses. Since then, thousands of Apprentices attending our courses have expanded their skills and knowledge in their chosen field of learning. An incremental salary scale applies thereafter. Previous public sector experience may be eligible for incremental credit, to be determined upon appointment. Annual Leave: 30 working days per annum (pro rata) Summary of Position: The Manager of Finglas Training Centre is a senior manager and leader of City of Dublin ETB’s Further Education and Training provision. The manager will oversee the day-today operations of training services with responsibility for a significant budget and large number of learners. They will also be key in leading on the City of Dublin ETB vision for FET across the city which is to develop one integrated inclusive service with the learner journey at the centre. Desirable Requirements: • Have a minimum of three years recent experience, preferably at a senior position in an organisation, which in the opinion of City of Dublin ETB is relevant to the post. • Knowledge of the broad Further Education and Training Sector. • Have significant experience in people management including but not limited to general staff supervision, teamwork, scheduling, staff development and training. • Have excellent administrative and IT skills. • Ability to prioritise and manage work in a dynamic and pressurised environment. • Goal oriented in a manner that ensures that work is comprehensively completed. • Proven record as a team-player with a flexible approach. • Demonstrated experience of building and maintaining relationships. • Effective verbal and written communications, including negotiation, project management, report writing and presentation skills. • Excellent judgement, problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills. • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills. • Excellent work planning and organisation skills. • Self-motivating, flexible and results focused. • Experience of developing procedures and implementation and monitoring of same. We are a Leitrim based family run business looking to fill a vacancy for an apprentice panel beater/ spray painter. We have a large well equiped modern garage in rural Leitrim, with a fully equiped body shop repair section. This apprenticeship will involve both on the job and off the job training. On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a nationally and internationally recognised FETAC Level 6 Craft Certificate. Requirements: Full time, permanent, apprenticeship.
