Youth Bank Support Worker
The Service Youth Matters is a fun, engaging, youth work service supporting disabled children and teenagers under 18 years of age. We support people with disabilities, autism, ADHD, and brain injury to participate in group-based activities, inclusive programmes, and summer schemes to unleash their potential. Purpose of the Job You will work alongside our Youth Officers and Project Workers to deliver fun and exciting opportunities for young people with physical disabilities, autism, ADHD, and brain injury to promote inclusion, personal development and independence. Activities could include bowling, cinema, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, going to local youth clubs or summer schemes. Activities take place in the evenings, at the weekends or during the school holidays. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the sector, work as part of a team and is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of disabled young people! Salary/ Hourly Rate Hours of Work £12.21 per hour As and when required. Hours will be in the evenings and weekends with day times during the school holidays. Key Duties and Responsibilities Customer · To support the Youth Officer to deliver social outreach activities to meet identified individual needs (assistance with personal care, this may include some manual handling tasks) · To support the Youth Officer to work toward agreed objectives within individual support plan for each child and young person · To assist young people to participate fully in activity programme. · To continuously monitor and review progress of each child or young person and provide on-going support and guidance. · To develop positive relationships with Youth Officer and young person · To provide a flexible service including evening and weekends to meet the needs of the children/young people on the service. TPDPS Welfare Co-ordinator Community Partnership REF: TPDPS/03/25 Grade: Staff Officer, Fixed-term until 31 March 2027 Salary will be in the range £34,524 - £37,712 per annum Closing date for applications: 17:00 on Friday 18th April 2025 Purpose of the role The post holder will function as the key liaison between the Victims and Survivors Service (VSS) and a network of Welfare Advisors employed within the community and voluntary sector. The post holder will establish robust processes, procedures and guidance for supporting victims and survivors accessing support under the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme (TPDPS). By the closing date for applications, candidates must demonstrate that they fulfil each of the following essential criteria: 1. A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, which must include English Language and Mathematics. 2. Candidates must demonstrate that they have a minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in each of the following: • Development and delivery of Welfare/Health & Wellbeing services with a focus on client outcomes. • Developing and delivering reporting templates, management reports and progress updates. • Using a variety of written, non-verbal and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients with non-complex and complex needs. 3. Experience of working within a community, voluntary or statutory environment with clients with trauma, mental health and/or physical health issues. 4. Working effectively in a line management role, coordinating the activities of a team. 5. A current UK Driving Licence with access to a car. This will be waived in the case of an applicant whose disability prohibits driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements. Packaging Visual Inspector – Level 3 Job Overview The successful candidate will be based within the Vial Inspection area of our Newry Facilities. This role involves inspecting injectable vials ranging from 10ml – 1 litre within a unique specialised environment. The successful candidate will operate within and adhere to GMP guidelines and standards while ensuring Health & Safety at all times. Our Inspection teams work to tight schedules, visually inspecting our product to ensure the highest standards of quality. Operatives also work with the AQL team to guarantee optimum standards are met. Although you are working as part of a team, you will be required to working individually at your own dedicated workstation. Therefore, the successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative and be highly motivated to meet targets.
