The ideal candidate will have/be: • Minimum 1 years` fresh food supervisory experience; • Minimum 2 years` experience in a role with strong exposure to fresh food; • Fully trained in HACCP and food safety, and has experience in meeting the HACCP and food safety requirements; • Experience in ordering for deli departments and managing waste within a fresh food department; • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); • Numerical skills; • Ability to roster and adhere to budgets; • Excellent communication skills; • Have a true passion for the food industry and as such be creative and innovative with the fresh offering; • Customer focused manager who can build a quality and loyal customer base; • The ability to inspire, lead and motivate employees through support and development. BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND – WEST REGION PERMANENT PART-TIME COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER X 2 TURAS FAMILY AND COMMUNITY SERVICES, GALWAY CITY & COUNTY JOB REF: 71497 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Temporary and Permanent Community Support Worker appointments may be made over the next 6 months. Location: TURAS Family & Community Services is a community-based service based in Galway City, with a satellite service in the Ballinasloe area. The service provides supports to children whom have varying abilities. We are primarily a community based service and are looking to gradually expand the geographical areas, in where we operate satellite services from. We are currently looking to develop services in the Tuam and surrounding areas of North Galway. We require 2 x staff, having an 8-hour post each per fortnight, working 2 x Saturdays per month. The Role: The Community Support Workers role is exciting and innovative. This support is an alternative form of respite for families. As a Community Support Worker, you will be assigned a caseload where you will be providing support to a number of children and their families. In this role, you will be required to work as part of a team, as well as on your own initiative, and become an advocate for each child and family you are supporting. The role will involve supporting children that use our services, to actively participate in their communities where possible, promote community integration, social inclusion and life skills development. In this role, there may be identified goals to focus your supports on, which will work towards the model of community and social inclusivity. There may also be identified goals around supporting the child to participate in leisure and recreational activities, or assisting them in socialising in group situations with their peers. The Community Support Worker role within Turas Family and Community services, can take the form of after school supports, school holiday supports and Saturday clubs. There may be duties around providing personal care and following behaviour support plans. As part of the role you will be liaising with members of the Children’s Disability Network Teams and adhering to Brothers of Charity Services Ireland-West region policies and procedures in how the service operates. All employees will be required to support individuals to lead a full and valued life, and have the needs of each child and family, at the forefront of how the service operates. Qualifications/Experience/Skills: Essential: Working Hours: 8 hours per fortnight - Two Saturdays per month. School of Fine Art – Department of Print The Print Department offers both studio space and significant workshop capacity that supports an expanding range of approaches and outputs. The Department is a popular undergraduate choice for undergraduate study, Spanning autographic arts, mechanical reproduction and digital media, print actively interlocks with a broad range of disciplines whilst evolving distinctive approaches to art making. Teaching embraces older technologies and contemporary approaches to image making and reproduction, whilst expanding further frameworks and sites for making and dissemination. This may embrace known and alternative means including still and moving image, performance, digitally commanded manifestations, public sites, collaboration and co-production. The ethos of the Department is to foster, maintain and enable contemporary print practice from traditional and historical methods to the most up-to-date digital production, while working in both two and three dimensions. We are interested in the culture of print in its broadest sense and its potential as an iterative method in the evolution, development and dissemination of artwork.
