BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND – WEST REGION 1 X SPECIFIC PURPOSE FULL-TIME TEAM MANAGER (CNM2/Social Care Manager 2) CRUACHAN SERVICES - East Roscommon: (Strokestown, Elphin, Tulsk, Ballinagare areas) JOB REF: 77184 As our service numbers increase, we are looking to expand our service Management Team. The successful candidate will be involved in developing existing services through supporting the local staff teams. The Team Manager will have Person in Charge (PIC) responsibility and will oversee some residential and day service locations. The Role: The Team Manager will provide leadership and direction for the team, actively coordinating the team to ensure the development of person-centred services as agreed on the Service Plan for each Service Area. The role is full-time supernumerary.The Team Manager will support the staff teams and be responsible for the overall operational management of specified locations of the service. The successful candidate will work closely with the Area Manager to ensure that services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner within the agreed budget, and will be proactive members of the management team. Qualifications/Experience/Skills: Candidates must have – Working Hours: For Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) grade, a 75 hours fortnight applies as per HR Circular 018/2022. For Social Care Manager 2 (SCM2) grade, a 78 hours fortnight applies. The post will be rostered on a 7-day basis. It is envisaged that the post will primarily be Monday to Friday. Contracted hours of work are flexible within the hours of 8am – 8pm. Some weekend work may occasionally be required. An on-call commitment on a 7-day rostered basis is an essential requirement of the post. This is rostered between the management team for the county, currently 2-3 times per year. An on-call allowance is paid. Annual Leave: Leave will be granted according to the agreed leave assigned to the grade of the successful candidate i.e., CNM2 (25 days + service related leave days) or SCM2 (30 days). Remuneration: Based on the salary scale attached to the grade of the successful candidate, i.e., CNM2 or SCM2 per Department of Health salary scales. Paid maternity/paternity leave/sick leave schemes apply. Travel: A mileage allowance is paid for work related travel. The base for Cruachan Services is Strokestown. Location: Assignment to Cruachan Services, initially based in the Strokestown/Tulsk area. The Role: This is a direct support/front line role providing support to an individual with Intellectual Disability, Autism and Complex Behaviours. The successful candidate will take a lead role with the implementation of the Behaviour Support Plan and leading the team to deliver a quality-based service. This will involve supporting the Individual during behaviours of distress. This role includes working as a key worker to support and advocate for the individual supported by the service. The role is to support the person in all aspects of their life focusing on the individual’s ability while promoting independence and development of skills. The role will assist and support the individual, with the development of their person centred plan, the achievement of associated outcomes, to live a meaningful life and fulfil their potential. The successful candidate will encourage community participation and inclusion in positive ways, seek opportunities for new experiences and encourage positive risk taking. Qualifications/Experience: Working hours: 60 hours a fortnight rostered Monday to Friday. Contracted hours of work are liable to change from 8am to 8pm to meet the requirements of the programme. People are supported in residential settings in their own homes in the community individually and in groups with different staffing support levels depending on their levels of disability. Our Services are person centred focusing on the needs and abilities of adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. Our focus going forward is to form a relationship/partnership with each individual and their family and communities, supporting people to plan and direct their own service so that they can enjoy a life with a healthy balance of supports. We wish to create opportunities for people who use our service to have valued social roles in their communities and to form friendships. Qualifications: Candidates must have - · A current Live Register Certificate from the NMBI (An Bord Altranais), RNID or RGN qualification is essential. · A full clean manual Driving Licence, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish Roads is an essential requirement. It may also be necessary for the appointee to obtain a Class D1 Driving Licence (if not already in possession of one). Assistance will be given towards this purpose of obtaining a class D1 licence. Experience: Experience and an appreciation of the responsibilities of the post and issues affecting the everyday lives of individuals with an Intellectual Disability is desirable. Remuneration: Department of Health salary scales as at 01/10/2024 apply: Staff Nurse - €35,919 x 12 increments - €52,294 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). Long Service Increment €53,851 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) is granted after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. Enhanced Nurse - € 42,872 x 7 increments - €54,013 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). The successful candidate will be granted incremental credit subject to satisfactory verification of previous relevant nursing service. Additional payments will be made for weekends, public holidays, and sleep-ins and night duty when worked. A location allowance of €2,347 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) will also be paid when assigned to services where 75% of the persons supported have a diagnosis of severe/profound intellectual disability. Probation: A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post. The employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period should the employer find that the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment. Annual Leave: 22 days per annum (pro-rata for part-time), i.e. 8.46 hours per 100 hours worked. Remuneration: Department of Health salary scales apply as at 01/10/2024: €32,699 x 11 increments - €45,190 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). A Long Service Increment €45,984 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) is payable after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. Additional payments will be made for weekends, public holidays, sleep-ins and night-duty when worked. Salary quoted is based on a 39 hour working week.
