Responsibilities: · Taking responsibility for the hotel for early or late shifts making sure all areas are open, set up properly and welcoming to our guests · Helping in Food & Beverage departments in high demand periods · Dealing with guest and employees queries as they arise · Supporting all of the management team as needed · Ensuring compliance with all health & safety & fire prevention procedures when on-shift · Completing of daily security walks, daily reports and Passover reports · Assisting Senior Management with compilation of reports, payroll and rosters. · Checking Function sheet, VIP guest list to ensure smooth running of Dept. on daily basis. · Dealing with any issues or complaints in an efficient and professional manner ensuring customer/guest satisfaction and informing senior management of any issues/complaints received. · Checking and ensuring team members are groomed to standard at the start of each shift and supervising team in the absence of the management to ensure standards are met at all times. · Taking of sick calls and finding appropriate cover if required. The Bridge House Hotel has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Night Porter to join their existing team. Responsibilities: · To work closely with Reception and carry out any request that they may have in relation to customer needs. · If you are monitoring the main door at night, ensure all Guests show their room card prior to gaining entry into the late bar. · To serve the late bar for residents. · Complete cashing up procedure as per training provided. · Check in any late arriving guests · Take walk in room reservations where possible, take full payment and credit card details. · To clean and ensure the lobby and surround areas where Guest are, are left clean and tidy · To answer the calls on Reception where possible, if away from the desk always divert calls to mobile. · To carry out fire walks during your shift and sign logs. · Ensure that wake up calls are made promptly. · Completion of the night audit

Customer Sales Advisor
KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The post holder will provide a professional customer service experience for visitors, members and potential members. This will include selling all relevant Sports & Leisure services and products to existing and potential customers and promoting all relevant Council services, events and programmes. The post holder will handle associated financial transactions utilising relevant Leisure Management Software and assume other delegated duties relevant to the post reasonably assigned by the Operations Manager and Operations Coordinator, including duties/location to cover leave/other absences across Sports and Leisure facilities. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. In line with the Council’s Customer Care Standards, provide a front of house service to include greeting and advising customers and responding to customer queries to ensure that all customers have a positive and enjoyable experience. 2. Proactively sell and promote services offered by the Centre and Sports Services. This will include point of sales promotions and, on occasion, promoting services at special events. 3. Process casual and member activity bookings including taking telephone and emails inquiries. 4. Process customer purchases and reconcile cash in preparation for lodgement in accordance with Council procedures. 5. Carry out all relevant clerical duties pertaining to the role as and when required as instructed by the Operations Manager. 6. Under the direction of Operations Manager, assist in the replenishment of stock, stock control and replenishment of information stands. 7. General monitoring of members of the public throughout the facility to ensure that all Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult policies and procedures are complied with. 8. Ensure compliance with Council policies and procedures and operate within the highest standards of personal behaviour which reflect the core values and behaviours of the organisation. 9. Ensure the provision of high standards of customer service within the facility and across Sports Services. 10. Promote and manage the service effectively and communicate in a way, which enhances and promotes the public image and overall reputation of the Council, including product knowledge and awareness. Note: The post holder will be required to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs and requirements of the organisation. Qualifications and Experience It is essential that applicants have a minimum of: 1.1 - 5 GCSE passes at grade A-C, NVQ level 2 or equivalent 1.2 - One years’ experience in a similar position, to include front of house, customer service, administration/clerical work 1.3 - Experience in cash handling and the preparation of lodgements. 1.4 - Experience using MS Word and Outlook. Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined in 1.1 above, they must demonstrate a minimum of 4 years’ experience as outlined in 1.2 above. Skills Good Customer Care skills. Effective Oral & written communication skills. Good Organisational skills.
