Summer Camp Team Leaders

This summer we will be running 2 types of camps. Art camps and STEAM camps. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our teams of leaders nationwide. STEAM CAMP LEADERS Bring the wonders of Science, Design & Technology to primary kids by delivering fun, interactive summer camps with Designer Minds! This role involves travelling to various venues, using equipment such as LEGO, robots, and art and science materials, and guiding primary children through a range of fun activities from STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Maths. You will be provided with the lesson plans, training and equipment. ART CAMP LEADERS Bring the joy of art and design to primary kids by delivering hands-on, interactive camps with Designer Minds. This role involves travelling to various venues, bringing art, design and tech equipment and guiding children through a range of interactive art activities; painting, drawing, upcycling and sculpting as well as some digital art skills such as creative coding, animation and graphic design. You will be provided with the lesson plans, training and equipment. Travelling is essential  as Designer Minds events do not take place in a fixed location. This job involves travelling to a different venue each week for summer camps. Having your own car would be an advantage. Designer Minds leaders work in groups of 2-3. Most camps are scheduled from 9am-1pm, Monday to Friday, with afternoon camps on some weeks also, from 2-6pm. This is a fantastic experience for teachers, special needs assistants, early childhood experts and professionals with a background in the  STEAM  subjects or  ARTISTS  / ART TEACHERS. It is an opportunity to develop skills in a vibrant and forward-thinking educational environment. Pay rate is dependent on position and experience. A  travelling allowance  will also be provided. Required Education, Skills and Qualifications Above all, you must be enthusiastic about working with children, with an upbeat, kind and friendly manner. Details of Service: Under Progressing Chidlrens Disability Services, The CDNT currently provide services for children with complex needs aged 0-18yrs. We provides a range of therapy, diagnostic and assessment services. Services include Home Support, Respite Care Packages, Home Nursing Care Packages and afterschool supports. Our Team model is an interdisciplinary approach and our team includes OTs, Physios, Nurses, Social Workers, Psychologists, Dietician and SLTs. Purpose of the Post: The post of CNM 2 has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are: quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership. The purpose of this post is to provide clinical nursing interventions in the area of Behavioural Specialist Nurse to the children and their families availing of the services of Monaghan CDNT. Key roles of the CNMII Behavioural Specialist Nurse within the Monaghan Children’s Disability Network Team includes: 1. Provide interventions to children and their familes based on evidence based practice in relation to promoting positive behaviour and emphasing every child is an active participant in their home and local community. 2. Provide parent trainings and group work with other members of the CDNT on a regular basis in areas including but not restricted to Positive Parenting, Understanding Autism, Interacting and Playing with your child. 3. Access, plan, implement and evaluate positive behaviour support plans where required. 4. Ensure all interventions promote the rights of the child and are based on the holistic assessment of the child and their famileis needs. 5. Demonstrate a high level of specialist clinical knowledge and skills in the area of positive behaviour support to effectively carry out their duties as CNMII Behavioural Specialist. 6. Work as part of the interdisciplinary team members making and accepting referrals for children as necessary. 7. Liaise with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Teams and Child and Adolescent Mental Health of Intellectual Disability Teams. 8. Liaise and work with Respite and Home Support providers as appropriate in the adherence of Positive Behaviour Support Plans. 9. Carry out and be involved in screening/Intake and Assessment of Needs as required. 10. Act as key worker/poin of contact for the child and family in the context of the multi-disciplinary team and the child’s individual programme of care. 11. Liaise with Preschool providers, Special & Mainstream schools, parent groups and voluntary bodies where appropriate. 12. Develop strategies to monitor and support families to manage tensions and difficulties arising from the child’s disability and to seek to implement strategies to reduce the impact of the childs behaviour. 13. To play a key role along with the MDT in ensuring the child’s individual intervention plan is implemented by the Home Support Workers. 14 . To liaise with TUSLA as appropriate and as per Childrens First Legistlation be identified as a mandated reporter.. 15. To liaise with schools, SENOs, NEPS, Betterstart Staff as required. 16. To participate and chair team meetings, case conferences, review meeting and IFSP meetings as required. 17. To monitor and review external placements. 18. Support the community Paediatrician Clinic for children with positive behavioural needs. 19. To maintain up to date records and adhere to File Management Policy 20. To participate in Service Planning and Development. 21. To update the National databases. 22. Visit children and their families in locations such as hospitals, clinics and in their homes. 23. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the CDNM/Disability Manager/ADON. 24. The CNMII will need to demonstrate appropriate expert clinical knowledge, leadership, education and an ability to use research/audit to develop practice and improve current knowledge base.
