Team Manager To drive sales in your department while delivering a great customer experience and store environment. Collaborate with the store management team to support the daily running of the store and develop a high performing and engaged retail team. Reports to: Department Manager / Assistant Manager This role will: <ul><li>Motivate and organise your team to provide exceptional store environment and customer experience while optimising sales. </li></ul> Key Responsibilities: Sales &amp; Customer Experience <ul><li>Use all available data to gain full knowledge of your section/department’s performance to drive sales and meet targets</li><li>Manage stock file accuracy in your allocated section/department by using all available information </li><li>Drive improved availability in-store with a consistent focus on size and option control to meet customers’ expectations </li><li>Responsible for commercial planning, period layout plans and planograms for your section/department</li><li>Support colleagues to create commercial and inspiring displays in your section/department which enhance the customer experience attracting footfall and sales </li><li>Carry out daily task allocation and daily rosters so that all Retail Assistants in your section/department are fully effective and engaged </li><li>Manage the Tills and Fitting Rooms area when required to provide a fast, friendly and efficient shopping experience that delivers our customer promise </li><li>Manage customer complaints and queries in the first instance with a view to resolving them in line with our customer promise, escalating where necessary to senior management</li></ul> People <ul><li>Organise and guide Retail Assistants in your section/department with a focus on developing their skills and knowledge to provide a great customer experience </li><li>Motivate and engage the Retail Assistants in your team with an emphasis on employee experience, wellbeing, recognition and communication (Primark Way of Communicating)</li><li>Provide ‘in the moment’ coaching and training on the way of working with ongoing observation and feedback </li><li>Assist with recruitment, on-boarding and development of Retail Assistants to create a high performing and engaged team that consistently delivers against standards and policies</li><li>Support with Employee Relations queries with a view to resolving issues at the lowest possible level</li><li>Carry out performance management activities with Retail Assistants, including absence management</li><li>Communicate and promote Primark’s ethical, environmental and charitable initiative ‘Primark Cares’</li><li>Effectively manage the performance of your team through regular feedback to support a culture of continuous learning and improvement and to deliver great customer service</li><li>Leverage the performance and potential of your team by identifying and improving talent with regular feedback</li><li>Manage Workday effectively by responding to requests within timescales and activating system delegation to other managers in your absence</li></ul> Operations / Cost Control<ul><li>Oversee gap ordering and review orders before they are placed for your section/department</li><li>Optimise stock levels to maximise sales in your section/department, through effective use of the Stock Replenishment System (PSR)</li><li>Manage all pricing in line with the Primark Pricing Principles guide, e.g. Monitor pricing for accuracy, check markdowns are applied and monitored, and appropriate POS are displayed </li><li>Assist the Store Manager with the protection of people, property and premises by securing cash, stock and property. Keyholder responsibility, including availability for emergency call outs.</li><li>Support the daily running of the store by adhering to all Primark’s policies and procedures </li></ul> Skills &amp; Experience<ul><li>Excellent people skills to serve customers, lead the team and build credible working relationships with all store colleagues</li><li>Strong service focus with experience of delivering excellent customer experience while maintaining high store standards</li><li>Good commercial awareness and understanding of local trading patterns </li><li>Ability to guide and support a team to achieve results </li></ul>
