SENIOR FUNDRAISER WITH NRH FOUNDATION Exciting new role that entails Corporate and Individual giving, Trust & Foundations and Community fundraising. Requiring a versatile approach to securing funds from multiple sources. Holidays: 30 days per annum Starting Date: as soon as possible Location: Position based in the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) but countrywide travel involved Reporting to: Fundraising Manager The NRH Foundation is a registered Charity (CRA20013196) set up in 1983 to raise vital funds to support the services of the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH), for adults and children. The role of the NRH Foundation has never been more important as it is today to the NRH. There are many worthy and essential projects that impact on patient care in need of funding at the NRH. Role Overview This is a new key role within the organisation with responsibility and accountability for the development, implementation and management of various fundraising and communications activities to ensure the strategic growth of the NRH Foundation’s long-term sustainable donor/philanthropic income. This role entails corporate & individual giving, event & community fundraising in addition to trust & foundation fundraising. The successful candidate will build and maintain relationships with donors, corporate partners, and community groups to achieve fundraising targets. Essential Criteria – ideally the successful candidate will possess the following: · Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role covering individual and community giving, corporate and grant fundraising, with demonstrated experience of delivering on financial targets against each individual revenue stream. · Educated to degree level or relevant experience gained in the voluntary/fundraising sector. Preferable to have completed a fundraising qualification. · Demonstrated up to date knowledge of the donor landscape in Ireland and experience of leading and organising successful fundraising, sales, and campaign projects. · Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills with the experience of building relationships and high value partnerships with individuals, companies and groups. · Working knowledge of fundraising databases/CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. · Flexible, self-motivated and solution focused, with the ability to work collaboratively to deliver on fundraising targets and to contribute to the organisation’s strategic plans. · Full and clean driver’s license and use of own car. Desirable: · Previous experience of fundraising for a health - orientated organisation, advocacy or social welfare organisation within the not for profit sector. · Passionate about the work and mission of the NRH Foundation and a knowledge of the services and research it develops. Senior Speech & Language Therapist In Stroke
Job Purpose: The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will contribute to the provision of a high quality, evidenced-based SLT service to those patients presenting with communication and/or swallowing difficulties within the Mater Misericordiae (MMUH) Stroke Service. The Senior SLT will be an integral member of the Stroke SLT team and an essential member of the specialised MDT within the stroke service. This post has specific remit for: - Stroke Service. It should be noted that there this is a rotational post between the Early Supportive Discharge (ESD) for Stroke rehabilitation programme and the inpatient acute stroke service. The inpatient service covers the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) and the Acute Stroke unit (ASU). The ESD for Stroke Programme, provides an MDT rehabilitation service to patients in the community of the Mater catchment in north and inner city Dublin. Access to own transport is a necessity. This role includes the opportunity to avail of daily instrumental assessments of swallowing (videofluoroscopy and FEES) and access to some of the latest evidence based therapy techniques (Pharyngeal Electrical Stimulation, RMST, BiSSkiT, sEMG). Senior Speech & Language Therapist - Head Neck Cancer And Critical Care Service
Job Purpose: The senior SLT will possess and develop relevant clinical knowledge in the area of Speech and Language Therapy specific to Critical Care, ENT, Voice and Head and Neck Cancer. Together with SLT colleagues, the senior SLT will support the provision of a high quality, efficient and evidence based SLT service to adult inpatients referred from Critical Care areas and inpatients/outpatients referred through the ENT team with communication and swallowing disorders including patients with tracheostomies and/or ventilator dependency. She/He will support the development of the Critical Care, ENT and Head and Neck Cancer SLT services. The Senior SLT will work closely with the Critical Care, ENT and surgical MDT to develop and deliver the Critical Care and ENT service at MMUH.
