Possibility of major jobs boost for Roscommon

Roscommon could be in line for more than 50 new jobs after a US delegation visited the county with a view to establishing a business in the area. A Roscommon businessman recently approached the Local Enterprise Office and asked if it’d host a visit from the investors. Last Wednesday, the US delegation arrived in the county and spent the day touring the area, in the company of Roscommon County Council and LEO staff. No details have yet emerged of the industry in question, but the businessmen visited a number of locations, including the thriving Monksland area. Louise Ward, the head of enterprise with the LEO, hopes the visit could bring a major jobs boost in 2019. By:
