CE Scheme Roles - Summerhill, Co. Meath

Summerhill CE Group CLG have a number of CE scheme vacancies now available.

CE Schemes are designed to help people who are long-term unemployed (or otherwise disadvantaged) to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within local communities.

Participants can take up other part-time work during their CE placement.

The work is community-based.

When a person’s CE placement ends, the person is encouraged to seek a job elsewhere using the skills, experience and training gained while participating on the CE scheme.

Kitchen Assistant

Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Sona Sasta, formerly known as Meals on Wheels, is a community based voluntary organisation. This role available is open to both male and female applicants and does not require any experience. On the job training will be provided.

Bus Carer/Caretaker

Duties:

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary.

Accredited training will be provided to support your career. Third Age Summerhill are looking for a reliable person to act as an assistant on their Bus which collects and returns elderly people to the activities provided at their Centre in Summerhill. You will also have the task of returning the Centre to pre-activity status so it is ready for the next days activities.

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. The position is for a cleaner person for the Community Centre in Summerhill. Duties will include hoovering, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, cleaning toilets. Ensure kitchen area is kept clean and ready for use. Attention to detail and a positive attitude a must.

Maintenance Operative

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. Day to Day duties of opening or closing of the premises. Maintenance of both inside and outside of the building. Maintaining lawns and grass verges and flowerbeds. Painting and cleaning. Must have a clean Driving Licence.
