LONGFORD/MEATH/WESTMEATH/LAOIS/OFFALY SERVICES GENERAL MAINTENANCE STAFF PERMANENT FULL TIME (78 Hours Per Fortnight) We are seeking to recruit motivated, creative and energetic persons to join our Longford/Meath/Westmeath/Laois/Offaly Maintenance Team. The successful candidates will provide general maintenance support including repairs, upkeep of buildings and will include ongoing general grounds maintenance. The General Maintenance Staff members provide invaluable support to the individuals within Muiriosa Foundation ensuring they can live a meaningful and fulfilling life. Informal enquiries to: Terry Brady 087 916 5503 Requirements: · Holding a trade or other relevant qualification is desirable. · Knowledge and experience of general and preventative maintenance. · Demonstrated experience within a similar role, minimum 2-3 years continuous. · Possess a current safe pass certificate. · Good knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. · Experienced and skilled in the use of hand and power tools. · Basic computer skills, including use of email and other computer systems. · Excellent communication skills, listening and verbal skills critical to ensure required task is understood and responded to appropriately. · Ability to be innovative and creative and work on own initiative. · Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time appropriately. · Strong organisational and follow up skills. · Have an eye for detail. · Make decisions and have competence to provide a professional maintenance service. · Willing to work alone as required. · Full Current Manual Irish Driving Licence. · Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role. Responsibilities & Accountabilities: • Set up trays and tables for meals - breakfast, lunch and tea. • Maintain a prompt and efficient food delivery service to patients. • Cleaning of all appliances in the staff restaurant. • Washing down all tables and chairs and clearing in after meal service. • Cleaning of all appliances in the kitchen. • Filling in of cleaning schedules as required. • Adhering to all HACCP regulations • Undertake any all catering tasks at the request of the assigned department manager, in a motivated manner, utilising experience and initiative, ensuring activities are conducted in accordance with the assigned department’s polices, protocols and catering requirements. Risk Manager, University Hospital
Risk management is a component of the Quality & Patient Department, which promotes and facilitates all aspects of patient safety and the standards for better health across the CUH group through the development of organisational-wide strategies, policies and procedures related to patient safety, quality, risk management, complaints, clinical audit and patient and public involvement. The post holder will work closely with (but not limited to): The post holder will represent the hospital with the external HSE Legal Advisors, the State Claims Agency and the Coroner's Office. The purose of the post involves; · The development of proactive risk management systems and processes that place the quality and safety of patient care at their centre. · Operational responsibility to develop and co-ordinate a risk management programme within the hospital to effectively manage, measure and monitor the safety of the hospital. · Promote best evidence risk management practices that foster a fair, open and learning culture · Implement systems and processes to ensure that the organisation learns from incidents, complaints and claims analysis. Support Executive Management Board, Core Directorates Management Teams and departmental managers in establishing a proactive risk management culture, focussing on patient safety within clinical directorates and departments.

Purpose of the Post The post of CNM2 has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating and managing activity and resources within this clinical area at St Columcille’s Hospital. The main responsibilities are Quality Assurance, Resource Management, Staffing and Staff Development, Practice Development, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership. The post holder will be expected to develop pathways for the service users and co-ordinate clinics in consultation with other stakeholders so as to maximise the resources available. The CNM2 will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of effective quality assured patient centred care. Professional Knowledge / Experience Relevant to the Role The ability to function effectively in the role as described in the Job Specification.
