Job Summary Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board is a statutory local education authority operating under the terms of the Education and Training Boards Act 2013. The ETB provides mainstream educational programmes to schools and colleges as well as providing a wide range of adult and community programmes. The ETB’s educational remit extends from Balbriggan in the north of the county to Lucan in the west, to Dun Laoghaire in the south. Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLETB) serves the three county council areas of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, South Dublin and Fingal and a population of 862,468 people. Consultant Paediatric Neurologist Purpose of the Role: This post will contribute to the general neurology work-load improving clinic waiting times by managing patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions. This post will contribute to inpatient management of neurology patients and participate in the neurology on-call rota. The post will increase availability of Neurologists to Paediatricians seeking advice on Neurological Disorders from around the country. There is scope within this role for development of a special interest e.g neurovascular neurology. Essential Criteria: Professional Qualifications and Experience Mandatory: a) Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Paediatrics And b) Two years postgraduate training and experience in related paediatric neurology subspecialties of which at least one year should have been full time in paediatric epilepsy “The successful interviewee must be registered as a specialist in the relevant specialty on the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland, within 180 days of the day of interview and before taking up appointment. In exceptional circumstances, proleptic appointments may be considered for candidates engaged in the relevant training programmes. The Consultant must at all times while continuing to hold office, continue to be registered with the Medical Council of Ireland. Documentary evidence of Medical Council Registration is required and must be produced annually to the Medical Administration Department within the Children’s Health Ireland. Clinical Specialist Dietitian In Cancer Care
Job Purpose: The Clinical specialist dietitian will apply their expert clinical dietetic knowledge across the range of Inherited Metabolic Disorders (IMD) that are treated by diet, due to disordered protein, fat or carbohydrate metabolism. The Clinical Specialist will : Lead the development of the IMD nutrition care pathways and standards operating procedures including: a) Provide an inpatient, outpatient and telehealth service in order to deliver measurable dietetic outcomes. b) Supports management of patients admitted to external hospitals Develop and implement training pathways and frameworks for dietitian colleagues to support the delivery of evidence based care to IMD patients. Ensure that the service is organised to deliver high quality, efficient and effective care from all members of the IMD dietetic team. Participate in the strategic development of IMD nutrition by representing the service and working collaboratively with national and international colleagues on relevant projects/reports. Carry a clinical caseload that may include comanagement of patients for training and competence development.
