Alternatively provide written evidence from the Higher Education Institute that they have achieved the number of ECTS credits equivalent to a Level 9 or higher standard, relevant to the specialist area of care (equivalent to 60 ECTS or above), and in line with the requirements for specialist practice as set out by the National Council for Nursing and Midwifery 4th ed (2008). Tissue Viability and Wound Management prior to application* (See **Note 1 below). AND (vii) Be required to demonstrate that they have continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the specialist area of Tissue Viability and Wound Management. AND (viii) Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice. **Note 1: For Nurses who express an interest in CNS roles and who currently hold a level 8 educational qualification in the specialist area (equivalent to 60 ECTS or above), this qualification will be recognised up to September 2026. AND (b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and clinical, leadership, managerial and administrative capacity for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. 2. Post Summary: The role of the Youthreach Resource Person is to be responsible, on a day to day basis for: - ● providing teaching and learning in their specialised subject areas, as per the Vacancy Notice, and provide substitution as may sometimes be required for other modules from time to time, based on the needs of the centre. ● providing administrative support as appropriate, to the needs of the centre and programme, throughout the academic year. ● assess students’ learning needs, design and implement programme plans based on these individual needs. ● engage with the planning, implementation and evaluation of the programme at classroom and centre level and maintain a positive and co-operative working relationship with Centre Manager, other members of staff, students and the wider community. Duties: The Youthreach Resource Person will work with the Centre Co-ordinator and the staff team to: 1. Provide support to the Centre Manager on a day to day basis in delivering the FET provision in the centre. 2. Complete the administrative duties relevant to the post, including the maintenance of records and the provision of reports as required, and other duties as directed 3. Produce high quality work-related written reports/documents as requested. 4. Participate in direct class contact in keeping with Programme needs as required. 5. Work with centre management to ensure effective planning, delivery and evaluation of appropriate responses to education and training needs, including the identification and implementation of indicators for education and training outcomes for learners. 6. Develop, deliver and monitor relevant curriculum to agreed Quality Assurance standards in collaboration with the Donegal ETB’s Quality Assurance Support Services . 7. Assess and monitor student course work and supervise student work experience for development and certification purposes. 8. Ensure that the centre meets the statutory requirements set down by QQI and other certification providers, e.g. Quality Assurance, Programme Validation and Learner Assessment. 9. Ensure that a high standard of discipline is maintained by all learners. 10. Conduct interviews of trainees to assess suitability for the Programme. 11. Establish and maintain relationships based on partnership and co-operation with local schools, Further Education and Training Centres, statutory and voluntary agencies and employers. 12.
