The post holder will provide a psychological service to children and families referred to the HSCP mental health team and will work as a member of an innovative, multidisciplinary team operated collaboratively by psychology, OT and mental health social work. The team accepts referrals of inpatients and outpatients from 39 medical specialities in CHI at Temple Street. Referrals for a wide range of psychological difficulties are accepted, including, but not limited to: functional somatic symptoms, procedural anxiety, distress after illness or injury, complex toileting or feeding difficulties, adjustment to diagnosis or following injury, and parent support. Essential Criteria: · Hold a recognised University degree or diploma obtained with first or second class honours in which psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject or hold a recognised qualification equivalent to above And · Hold a relevant post-graduate professional qualification in Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland. Or · Hold a postgraduate professional psychology qualification validated by the Department of Health and Children.
