Role: Oral History Network of Ireland (OHNI) Administrator (half-time, work from home role, flexible to accommodate occasional evenings and very occasional weekend events, immediate or soon as possible start) Fixed Term Contract: 1 May 2025 – 31 March 2026 Reporting to: Elizabeth Kiely, Chairperson, Oral History Network of Ireland Position Summary The Oral History Network of Ireland (OHNI) is a voluntary organisation supporting and promoting oral history in Ireland. With funding support from the Heritage Council of Ireland, the Oral History Network of Ireland is seeking to recruit a highly organised and proactive office administrator to remotely manage the day- to-day operations of the organisation. In this role, the administrator will serve as the backbone of the team, coordinating administrative activities, streamlining workflows, and creating efficiencies alongside OHNI’s steering committee. The ideal candidate will be someone, who has an understanding and an appreciation of oral history and cultural heritage and understands what is involved in the administration of heritage events and voluntary organisations. It is a role that will suit someone with excellent organisational competencies, who gives attention to detail, has a hands-on attitude and good communication skills. Main duties and responsibilities Conditions Remote Working Role (in person attendance required at some events) with an immediate / soon as possible start. Fixed Term Contract: A one-month probation will apply followed by regular reporting and submission of time sheets to OHNI Chair /Project management team. Reasonable vouched subsistence and other expenses incurred will be reimbursed. Ability to travel for work if required. Basic salary: €24,000 for 11 Month Fixed Term Contract Period working 20 hours per week. iGolf Customer Service Administrator
Location: The role is predominantly remote working. Some initial training days (3) will be required on site at the Golf Ireland Head Office in Maynooth. Weekly meetings with your supervisor will take place each week remotely. Once per month this meeting will take place in person either at the Golf Ireland office or at alternative location convenient to both supervisor and administrator. Duration: This is a short- term contract post (4 months) running from May to early September 2025. The post is part time and will include a maximum of 4 hours per day from Monday to Friday. About Golf Ireland: An exciting job opportunity has arisen within Golf Ireland, and we are now seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to support the iGolf initiative. In January 2021, Golf Ireland was established as the single governing body for golf on the island of Ireland, taking over from the GUI and ILGU. It is now the single governing body for golf on the island of Ireland, which was overwhelmingly approved by the affiliate Clubs of the ILGU and GUI in January of 2019. Based in Carton Demesne near Maynooth, Golf Ireland is a non-profit company, limited by guarantee, and is responsible for leading, growing and supporting the game of golf on the island of Ireland. The Board of Golf Ireland is made up of 13 volunteer Directors supported by an Executive team and a suite of sub-committees. Four Regional Executive Committees, one in each of the Provinces of Ireland, are responsible for the delivery of local operations. The primary functions of Golf Ireland include the administration of Championships and Inter-Club events, the administration of the World Handicap System and the Rules of Golf and Amateur Status, the delivery of a World-class High-Performance Programme, contesting and hosting International Fixtures, Supporting Clubs and Growing the Game. Golf Ireland seeks to appoint an iGolf Customer Service Administrator to support the iGolf initiative which launched in Oct 2024. About the Role: Principal Responsibilities – iGolf Administrator (part-time, contract) • Responding to email queries from iGolf subscribers • These queries can relate to customer service related matters, golf handicapping queries and • Responding to email queries from prospective iGolf subscribers • Responding to general club queries directly on iGolf • Liaising with Golf Ireland’s Digital & Social Media team to help create social media posts for iGolf • Liaising with clubs to help promote club membership offers to iGolfers Person Specification • Commitment to Golf Ireland’s values and culture of inclusion, equality, and diversity. • Prior office environment/administration experience an advantage • Knowledge of golf ideally with an understanding of golf handicapping • Excellent problem-solving skills • The capacity to work well within a team • Strong customer service ethic • Accurate and thorough approach to work with excellent attention to detail. • Strong Interpersonal skills. • The ability to prioritise workload • Good level of proficiency in MS Office skills, e.g., Word & Excel • Understanding of social media posting and content creation • Clean Drivers Licence Note: This role by its nature will evolve over time therefore the postholder may be required to undertake duties not specifically outlined in this Job Description.
