Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments) Annual Leave Entitlement: Annual leave entitlement is 34 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service. Overview of the Post: CDNT 7 is a team that works alongside a wide range of stakeholders with whom strong professional relationships need to be forged and fostered on an ongoing basis. These stakeholders include children and their families, TUSLA, CAMHS and colleagues in HSE and other agencies. The CDNT’s deliver services using the Social Model of Disabilities within the Progressing Disability model of care. Overview of Duties & Responsibilities: Please see Job Description for full list The successful candidate will have: Essential Criteria: Eligible applicants must: · Have a university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject And · Have an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology Or · An equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health. And · Demonstrate competence in the Care Group/s applied for. And · Applicants must have at least five years satisfactory post-graduate experience in the area of professional psychology, no more than three years of which was spent in gaining the postgraduate professional qualification and no less than two years full-time spent in post qualification experience as a professional psychologist. Years in excess of the permitted three years for completion of the post-graduate training or time not worked will not be taken into consideration when assessing the five years’ experience requirement. And · Applicants with a clinical or counselling psychology qualification must demonstrate that they have acquired in appropriate health settings, for the area / areas for which they wish to apply - Disability (Child and Adult), Child Psychology, Adult Psychology - either at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification; or at least 60 days or equivalent post-qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist. Annual Leave The annual leave associated with the whole time equivalent of this post is 30 days per annum. Superannuation 1. This is a pensionable position with Tusla. The successful candidate will upon appointment become a member of the appropriate pension scheme. Pension scheme membership will be notified within the contract of employment. Probation 2. A probation period of thirty nine (39) weeks or proportion of same for fixed term /specified purpose contracts, where applicable shall apply from the commencement of employment, during which the contract may be terminated by either party in accordance with this contract. The probationary period may be extended at the discretion of management by a further two (2) months or proportion of same for fixed term/specified purpose contracts, where applicable.
