The current apprenticeships available are a 3-year Specified Purpose Contract . **Applications are confined to staff currently employed at St. Raphael’s Centre, Youghal who meet the eligibility criteria and have an interest in participating in this apprenticeship**. A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Apprenticeship in Social Care Work from which current and future apprenticeships may be filled. Details of the Apprenticeship in Social Care Work: An apprenticeship is a structured programme of education and training that blends learning in the workspace with formal instruction in an educational setting. This dual approach integrates practical, employer-based experience with academic learning to create a skilled and educated employee, in this case, a qualified Social Care Worker. Participants benefit from an ‘earn while your learn’ model. This three-year apprenticeship is structured to support a blended delivery of online learning and face to face sessions which minimizes time off-the-job. The Social Care Apprenticeship is an exciting dual programme that will allow you to gain both fully paid on-the-job practical experience and skills and a CORU approved Level 8 Honours Degree in Social Care. Details of the Service: The HSE and our partnering service providers in voluntary disability services support people with disabilities to live with dignity and independence within their communities. In an apprenticeship role, the Apprentice in Social Care Work will support individuals to take part in everyday life, develop skills and access the support they need. HSE South West manages and provides all public health and social care services in Cork and Kerry, serving more than 700,000 people. In line with Slaintécare they provide integrated healthcare pathways which are centred on the service user. Services are provided across a diverse range of settings: residential, day services, Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs), community supports, respite, specialist services. Purpose of the Post: This is an apprenticeship role incorporating both on-the-job and off-the-job learning. This post provides the employed apprentice with structured on-the-job learning opportunities as an Apprentice in Social Care Work. The role involves working alongside qualified Social Care Workers, other Health & Social Care Professionals and members of the interdisciplinary / multi-disciplinary team to support the individuals using the service. With Avonmore Electrical you will experience dismantle, over-haul, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance opportunities in electro-mechanical machinery including Motors, Gearboxes, Pumps, Fans and Generators. Throughout your apprenticeship journey, you will have the opportunity to work with highly skilled and experienced tradesmen across both our in-house Workshop and Precision Workshop as well as liaising with our onsite Engineering Department.
