Locum Social Care Worker roles are also available. We wish to recruit innovative, creative and motivated people who will relish the opportunity to assist in achieving this vision as part of a team. We are looking for people who will be flexible and adapt to the needs of particular individuals they support and are open to change. Location: Adult Services throughout County Roscommon – Roscommon town, Monksland, Athlone, Castlerea, Strokestown, Boyle. Staff allocation could be either within residential/respite/day settings or in community services or in an individual’s own home. The appointee will initially commence working in one particular area of services and this work location may change due to future service needs. Qualifications: Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications: • Registered with or eligible to register with CORU by November 2025. o View Social Care Workers approved qualifications on https://www.coru.ie/health-and-social-care-professionals/education/approved-qualifications/social-care-workers/ and • A full clean manual Driving Licence, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish Roads is an essential requirement. Clinical Research Fellow In Paediatric Neurodisability
Purpose of the Role: The purpose of this post is to be a key leading member responsible for developing a programme in Ireland to ascertain and accurately phenotype all children with Angelman Syndrome (AS), link AS parents/carers with existing clinical and research services and develop the capability for future approved therapies and clinical trials. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly motivated team and a dynamic environment, and to be involved in bringing advancements in health outcomes for children and young adults living with AS in Ireland. The role offers opportunities for ongoing professional development and the successful candidate will be provided with training and mentoring specific to their role. Essential Criteria: - An interest in paediatric neurodevelopmental disorders - Registered with IMC - Completion of Paediatric BST and minimum of 3 years of paediatric experience. - Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role - Good leadership qualities and evidence of same. - Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level. - Be an excellent communicator. An individual who possesses excellent written/oral communications skills, as well as the ability to present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner, additional experience with alternative and augmented communication systems is desirable.
