Overview of Duties & Responsibilities: The Family Support Worker will also provide support to children with ASD, physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities in the home and local community, assistance with home therapy programs; personal care assistance; social support and facilitate the achievement of the individual’s goals. The Role The Home Sharing Link Professionally Qualified Social Worker is committed to the ongoing mission of Horizons to develop different types of short breaks or respite services in an innovative, inclusive and person centred way. The appointee will be knowledgeable in all relevant legislation and will demonstrate an in-depth working knowledge of Models of Services, Advocacy, the Principles of Social Work Practice and CORU standards of proficiency.
