Typical services include roads and transportation, general Council labour works, traffic management operator, environmental and drainage works, upkeep of recreation and amenity facilities etc and any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor. The role of General Operative involves working closely with a wide range of local authority stakeholders including businesses, schools, tidy towns committees, resident associations and other community groups. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated adaptable and flexible person capable of acting on their own initiative, with a strong sense of commitment to delivering quality public services. The rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Starting pay for new entrants to the sector will be at the minimum of the scale.
