Location: This post is primarily located in Crannog Children’s Respite Service. Crannog provides a respite service to children up to 18 years of age who have a wide range of needs including those with Physical disability, complex medical needs, Autism and behavioural needs. There may also be a requirement to cover hours in the other Children’s Services including Crannmor Respite, Rosedale School and the Child Development Centres located in Galway City. Candidates will be required to be completely flexible in this position and will be required to work a variety of hours including day and night duty hours and sleep-ins as required. The Role: To support the implementation of children’s individualised developmental and educational programmes and work together with the multidisciplinary and staff teams in ensuring the maximum benefit of the programme for the children. To provide clinical nursing skills in supporting children with complex needs. To demonstrate and maintain the highest quality of nursing practice and apply his/ her skills to ensure the developmental, learning, physical, social, and emotional needs of the children in his/ her care are addressed at all times. Qualifications/Experience: • A current Live Register Certificate from the NMBI (An Bord Altranais).
