Transport Administrator
We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Administrator to join the Operations team based at our Castleblayney site. This is a permanent full time position.

Overview of the position
You will be focusing on the administrative day-to-day tasks for the transport functions, supporting 3rd party logistics and initiatives in accordance with established procedures and standards to support and achieve business requirements.
Responsibilities of our Transport AdministratorHigh degree of processes skills, knowledge and ability:
- Resolve all customer queries.
- Creating Shipments and collections.
- Creating Export orders both inbound and outbound.
- Allocating the correct vehicles to shipments.
- Keeping accurate records.
- Costing of all shipments.
- Ensuring Invoiced cost matches costed shipment.
- Data input and update using SAP.
- Filing orders/paperwork.
- Coordinating office activities and operations to ensure efficiency and compliance to Company policies and procedures.
- General logistics administration tasks.
- Input Purchase requisitions for department
What we are looking for in our Transport AdministratorYou will have:
- Qualification in secretarial/administration studies
- Experience of working in an office environment providing secretarial, administrative or back office support
- Advanced in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent numeracy skills and experience of using spreadsheets
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational and attention to detail skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to learn and adjust quickly
- Confident telephone manner
- Common sense approach to problem solving/decision making
Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit:
- Knowledge of the Transport Industry
- Full driving licence
- Working knowledge/experience of SAP
