Trainee Sales Executive
Job Summary Agnew Volkswagen prides itself in delivering an excellent service for our customers at all stages of the sales journey. As a trainee, you will support the sales team through demonstrations and handover activities, as well as advising customers on additional products to enhance their experience. You will also work alongside the service team, providing existing customers with technical support around in-car systems and features. Upon successful completion of a 12 month training programme the successful candidate will progress to the role of Sales Executive. Your skill set: ▪ Possess 5 or more GCSEs at grade C or above or equivalent (including English or Maths) ▪ Minimum of one year’s experience of working within a customer service role. ▪ Enthusiasm for excellent customer service and automotive technology ▪ Strong presentation skills. ▪ Ability to work on own initiative. ▪ Team-orientated personality, always willing to help and support others. ▪ Excellent communication and organisational skills. ▪ Willingness to learn and develop while keeping up-to-date with innovations and complex/technical/product information ▪ Good knowledge of computer applications (MS Office) ▪ Full, valid driving licence (aged 21+ for insurance purposes)
Key Responsibilities: ▪ Use in-depth product knowledge and insight to inspire customers. ▪ Promote the technical unique selling points of Volkswagen products and the associated customer benefits ▪ Offer exceptional customer service through informative customer discussion ▪ Keeping up to date with the latest product information ▪ Greeting customers and providing them with specification information about all Volkswagen products ▪ Ensuring all dealership staff are up-to-date on the latest product information and that their knowledge is of a high standard ▪ Planning and managing the customer test drive process with the Sales Executive and offering the product insight during the test drive appointment ▪ Responsible for the preparation of the showroom, ensuring a strong selection of demo cars are available and that the showroom is always presentable for customers ▪ Pro-actively approaching customers in the showroom to welcome them and see if they need any help ▪ Supporting the Sales Executive with insight and product knowledge for customers, when required ▪ Guiding customers to the Sales Executive when they express an interest to buy
