Trainee Motability Specialist
Your skill set:
· At least 2 years’ experience in a retail sales role in a target driven environment.
· Full, valid driving licence (aged 21+ for insurance purposes).
· Must be computer literate,
· Possess excellent interpersonal skills and have a high degree of self-motivation.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritise workload
and co-ordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- The ability to communicate and influence effectively.
Individual Key Objectives
· To prospect a targeted number of new prospects per week.
· To contact a targeted number of existing customers per week.
· To sell a targeted number of vehicles to Motability customers.
· To provide accurate paperwork in accordance with pre-set Motability guidelines which will ensure payment on time.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and use a planned sales presentation, designed to achieve maximum results from available sales opportunities. This includes; Customer greeting, qualifying, handling objections, product presentation/demonstrations, closing and manufacturer hand over procedures.
· Use customer follow-up and prospecting systems designed to create additional sales opportunities for repeat of new business. Furthermore, to contribute to the achievement of maximum customer retention through the above and the effective delivery and hand over of vehicles.
· Provide quality information for use in the Marketing system.
· Use a planned daily, weekly and monthly sales call programme as agreed with the Sales Manager.
· Develop and maintain a full knowledge of all products, accessories, prices and key features of major competitors.
· Handle all customer queries and complaints and ensure they are resolved to achieve customer satisfaction and company requirements. Document all complaints, ensure that the Sales Manager is informed, and ensure appropriate action is taken in a timely manner.
· Provide reports as required on all sales activities including follow-up, prospecting, sales presentations, new clients, etc. to ensure accurate sales forecasts where possible.
· Ensure all sale and financial paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner to ensure the completion of the sale in a satisfactory manner.
· Carry out accurate appraisals of all vehicles presented for part-exchange, using a systematic appraisal record, including mechanical, electrical and all cosmetic features.
· Agree valuations with the Sales Manager and complete satisfactory negotiations with potential customers to maximise sales.
· Maintain all demonstrators supplied for personal use in a clean and tidy condition at all times, suitable for use as Customer Demonstration cars.
· Attend training meetings and courses as required.
· Follow all laid down procedures for handling customer payments and documentation.
· Deal with all customers in a courteous, efficient, and considerate manner.
· Carry out any other duties as directed by management to support the needs of the business.
· Refer all customers to a Business Manager when appropriate.
· Ensure in all cases of Motability renewal business that the customer’s previous car is appropriately photographed, and detail submitted back to Motability within the correct timeframes.
· Ensure all deliveries of new vehicles are timed correctly in accordance with the Motability guidelines for Handover procedures.
· To be fully aware of the company's quality policies and procedures and at all times comply with the general and departmental procedures described within the relevant annexes of the company's quality manual.
· Take an active part in upholding the Company’s Health and Safety Policy as set out in the Conditions of Employment.
Limits of Authority:
· Not to supply car valuations to customers without the agreement of the Sales Manager.
· Not to enter into any purchase or sales contract without the approval of the Sales Manager.
· Not to go beyond agreed discount or minimum price levels.
Salary: £27,000 per year
