Job Description
Trainee ADs do anything required to help with a shoot’s progress. They run errands, deliver messages, look after the cast and crew. They help with getting the cast to the unit cars and crew into the minibuses to and from set. They deal with small and large crowds of supporting artists. Trainee ADs are quick on their feet and responsive to specific requests from the Producer, Director, or Assistant Directors.

Responsibilities
- Assist the AD Department during prep
- Act as an extension of AD Department in communication to the rest of the crew
- Assist the AD Department with control of the set
- Assist the 2nd AD with running unit base when necessary
- Stand in when necessary on set.
Essential Criteria
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills
- Great organisational skills
- Problem solving skills – taking the initiative when required
- Ability to take direction and work well under pressure
- A clean driver’s license and access to a car for work purposes
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working in a professional filming environment and familiar with the processes of production and set etiquette
