The Trader Assistant will provide comprehensive support to traders in a fast-paced financial environment, ensuring smooth operations and efficient trade execution. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. The Trader Assistant will be responsible for trade reconciliation, monitoring market conditions, managing risk, and facilitating communication between various departments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Trade Execution and Monitoring:

◦ Assist traders with the execution of trades, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

◦ Monitor market conditions and track the performance of executed trades.

◦ Update and maintain trading systems with real-time data and ensure all trades are properly recorded.

  • • Trade Reconciliation:

◦ Reconcile trades daily to ensure accuracy between the trading desk and back-office systems.

◦ Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner and escalate issues as necessary.

◦ Prepare and distribute trade confirmation reports to relevant stakeholders.

  • • Risk Management:

◦ Assist in monitoring and managing trading risks, ensuring adherence to risk management policies.

◦ Identify potential risks and communicate them to traders and management.

◦ Support traders in implementing risk mitigation strategies.

  • • Communication and Coordination:

◦ Serve as the primary point of contact between traders, back-office staff, and other departments.

◦ Facilitate communication to ensure smooth trade processing and settlement.

◦ Liaise with brokers, exchanges, and counterparties as needed.

  • • Market Research and Analysis:

◦ Conduct research on market trends, economic indicators, and financial news to support trading decisions.

◦ Assist traders in analyzing market data and identifying trading opportunities.

◦ Prepare reports and presentations on market conditions and trade performance.

  • • Administrative Support:

◦ Maintain and organize trading-related documentation and records.

◦ Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and other materials for traders and management.

◦ Handle ad hoc administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

Prior experience in a trading environment or financial services industry is preferred. Familiarity with financial markets, trading platforms, and financial instruments. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work.
