We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Therapy Assistant to join our team in CHO6, Dublin South, currently based in Sandymount.

Contract Type: Permanent, part time contract.

Contract Hours: 19.5 hours per week.

Salary Scale: €32,372 – €37,617pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments).

Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days pro rata per annum.

Overview of the Post:

To work under the supervision of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist to provide assistance with the provision of therapy services to children attending therapy and work as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families within the Dublin area.

The successful candidate will have

Essential Criteria:

· Possess the relevant QQI Further Education and Training (FET) Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills.

OR

· FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills or Healthcare Support.

OR

· A relevant healthcare qualification.

OR

· Be currently employed as an Attendant, Multi-Task or a comparable role and be willing to undertake a QQI/FET Level 5 programme in Health Service skills or equivalent.

AND

· Candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.

· Experience of working with children.

· Experience of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

· Be eligible to work in the State.

Desirable Criteria:

· 1 year experience working with young children with a physical disability.

· Experience of providing a community based service.

· Experience of carrying out therapy programmes.
