We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Therapy Assistant to join our team in CHO8 Meath CDNT 4 Dunshaughlin / East Meath (Bettystown)

Contract Type: Permanent Part-time (0.80 WTE)

Contract Hours: 31.2 hours per week

Salary Scale: €32,372 to €37,617 pro rata per annum

Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

Annual Leave Entitlement: Annual leave entitlement is 30 days pro rata per annum

and proportionately less for less than 12 months service

Overview of the Post:

· To provide a support service to children and families attending the CDNT while working as a member
of the inter disciplinary team.

· To provide assistance with the provision of therapy services to children attending the CDNT

· To plan and lead in the establishment and delivery of groups for service users of various ages.

· To facilitate service users social and educational activities within the group, providing a social /
therapeutic approach.

· To provide support to children and families in order to facilitate their participation in their local
communities and in all aspects of team interventions.

The successful candidate will have

Essential Criteria:

· Full FETAC Level 5 qualification or other relevant Health/Social Care qualification.

· The Post holder will have previous experience of working with children with disabilities in the health
care sector.

· Experience of working with children 0 – 18 years and their families

· Eligible to work in the State

· Valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transport in order to deliver
services across a large geographical area

Desirable Criteria:

· Experience working with young children with a physical disability.

· Experience working with young children with an intellectual disability

· Experience of working in a community based service.

· Experience of carrying out therapy programmes.
