Job Title: Team Lead, Software Development (Fullstack Software Engineer)

Reports To: Director, Software Development

Department: Product & Technology

Location: Ireland - Remote

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours weekly

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tech Lead to join our innovative team focused on mission critical initiatives, providing technical leadership and ensuring the development of scalable, high quality software solutions

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable systems with proficiency in C#
  • Migrate legacy .NET versions to Long-Term Support (LTS).
  • Maintain and develop applications using TypeScript.
  • Maintain AngularJS / Angular / ReactJS frontend applications
  • Utilize SQL for data querying and manipulation tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with data engineering solutions.
  • Mentor and coach Junior and Intermediate Software Engineers.
  • Write testable, high-quality code.
  • Own the codebase and its associated tests.
  • Support Managers and POs with technical requirements.
  • Engage with Architects in Architecture Review Boards (ARBs)
  • Engage with Systems Engineering for Change Management
  • Document technical decisions in the form of Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent job experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Solid experience with cloud providers (preferably Azure or AWS).
  • Proficiency in Object Oriented programming languages.
  • Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Proficiency in C#.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript.
  • Experience with AngularJS/ Angular / ReactJS
  • Experience with migrating legacy .NET versions to LTS.
  • Solid experience with Automated Tests.
  • Solid experience with architectural patterns, such as S.O.L.I.D.
  • Proficiency in micro-services and patterns such as SAGA.
  • Proficiency in Distributed Systems and Event Bus.
  • Solid experience with processes such as Change Management, ARBs, ADRs
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (K8S).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based providers, preferably Azure or AWS.
  • Understanding of release management processes.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and experience with release pipelines using Azure
  • DevOps or similar tools
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code
  • Familiarity with .NET framework.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teams across different geographical locations, including Ireland, the United States (Eastern Time Zone), and India
