Role Summary

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a dedicated and proactive Sustainability & EHS Administrator to join our team. This role will play a key part in ensuring compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directives (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), while also supporting the maintenance of our high Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) standards, and adherence to ISO certifications.

Location: Model Farm Road, Cork

Working Scheule: On-site Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 39.5 per week

Reports to: Head of Quality, BC(A)R & Sustainability

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Negotiable

Key Activities:

Data Collection:

  • Develop and manage the CSRD Database.
  • Coordinate data collection for annual CSRD reports and conduct GHG emissions scoring and carbon assessments.

Reporting:

  • Assist in preparing CSRD reports with the Head of Sustainability.
  • Support external audits and secure assurance for CSRD reports.

Strategy Development:

  • Analyze the environmental impact of projects and processes.
  • Support eco-friendly recommendations and strategic plans for sustainability.
  • Identify sustainability risks and opportunities within the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with the QHSE team to reduce environmental impact, focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and responsible sourcing.
  • Assess and improve social impact within the supply chain, ensuring ethical practices.
  • Help develop and enforce sustainability governance frameworks and ethical procurement policies.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics for sustainability initiatives and report to senior management on progress and achievements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Communicate sustainability strategies with key stakeholders.
  • Assist in conducting Double Materiality Assessments.
  • Engage with stakeholders to integrate sustainability into decision-making and ensure compliance with environmental and social regulations.

Tendering & Prequalification:

  • Assist with sustainability-related tender and prequalification processes.

Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS):

  • Create certification templates for BC(A)R.
  • Oversee PCM/PCO Register, document pre-commencement and close-out meetings.
  • Manage customer satisfaction surveys and maintain survey records.
  • Archive documents and develop safety file templates.

ISO Sustainability Standards:

Assist in achieving ISO sustainability certifications, including;

IWA 42:2022: Net-zero guidelines.
ISO 14068-1: Greenhouse gas management and carbon neutrality.
ISO 50001: Energy management.
ISO 20400:2017: Sustainable procurement guidance.
ISO 26001: Social responsibility

Education & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field.
  • Understanding of environmental and social issues in supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
  • Familiar with ESG reporting standards (e.g., CSRD, ESRS, GRI).
  • Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and efficiency.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
