Sustainability Intern

The Company: H&MV Engineering is a leading global provider of specialist design, engineering and construction services for high energy users, battery storage and generation. We provide turnkey high voltage substations for valued clients where we provide all services to connect them to the electricity grid of each region that we operate in. We operate across may sectors such as renewable power generation, data centres, pharmaceuticals and heavy industry.

Responsibities:

• Energy Saving Opportunities: Lead the analysis and calculation of potential energy, carbon, waste, and cost savings across the company, driving internal energy efficiency initiatives and opportunities across offices, live sites and proposed sites.
• Support ESG Initiatives: Assist in organising and executing the company’s 14 ESG objectives through initiatives and events. Ensuring alignment and proper data collection with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and help prepare H&MV integrate ESG Reporting platform.
• Sustainability Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to implement sustainability initiatives, enhancing the company’s environmental impact and operational efficiency.
•  Strategic ESG & Decarbonization Guidance: Help team on the development and implementation of sustainability strategies, with a particular focus on decarbonising the supply chain, ensuring alignment with the company’s ESG objectives and long-term goals.
• Sustainability Performance & Supply Chain Analysis: Analyse sustainability data, particularly carbon data across the supply chain, to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend actionable strategies for reducing the carbon footprint and enhancing the company’s overall environmental impact.
•  Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting: Help lead efforts in communicating sustainability initiatives, including supply chain decarbonisation, to internal and external stakeholders, preparing detailed ESG reports and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
