The Supply Planner will play a critical role in owning & maintaining the medium to long term master supply plan.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain a master supply plan and production schedule for all assigned products in SAP which meets medium & long term commercial & operational objectives
  • Maintain a master supply plan for enzyme fermentation which balances demand with available capacity in the network (including TPM’s & another Kerry Enzyme plant)
  • Develop strategies to resolve identified gaps and variances between demand & supply
  • Manage and proactively communicate supply status and critical supply chain metrics to Site, Central & Commercial stakeholders.
  • Minimize idle time and maximizing resource utilization and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Perform ad-hoc analytical analysis, recognize issues, develop plan for resolution, and implement and / or influence the support of key partners to aid implementation.
  • Create long-term capacity and volume plans
  • Develop an understanding of production planning within the site, to enable provision of holiday cover.
  • Sequence the order of production tasks and workflows.
  • Adapt to changes in customer demand or unforeseen disruptions.
  • Monitor site/supply performance against KPIs.
  • Identify and understand trends in performance & identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide the data to support the S&OP Supply Reviews, run the S&OP Supply Call, document actions & follow up on actions with action owners.
  • Advise on and maintain key planning parameters to optimize the supply chain performance.
  • Represent the planning department at cross-functional meetings, achieving cross-functional alignment.

Qualifications and skills

  • Strong supply chain experience with a knowledge of Supply Planning and other aspects including Master Scheduling, Forecasting, Demand Planning and S&OP.
  • Ideally experience of planning in a pharmaceutical environment, or where complexity would be deemed medium to high (Multi-level BOM structure, reliance on external manufacturing (TPM, other plant within network)
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline required
  • Experience with ERP systems & Supply Chain Planning Systems (Kinaxis, SAP APO etc)
