Supervisor
The Role
As a Butchery Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include ensuring that butchery work meets quality and value standards, providing excellent customer service through advice and assistance, maintaining high hygiene standards, and collaborating effectively with colleagues. You will also focus on achieving sales targets, developing the team's skills and knowledge, and supporting the store manager and supervisor.

Key Accountabilities
- Preparing different cuts of meat in line with customer and company requirements.
- Providing advice and training to other staff on butchery activities
- Greeting and serving customers.
- Preparing counter.
- Assisting customers with their purchases and providing product knowledge.
- Preparation of counter and pre-pack areas.
- Product sampling.
- Stock rotation.
- Receiving deliveries and completing paperwork required.
- Special offer material distribution.
- General cleaning.
- Supporting management function.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven butchery skills gained in a retail or manufacturing environment
- Previous experience of supervising others would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of food safety and legal requirements
- Proven customer service excellence.
- Determination to drive sales.
- IT literacy.
- Capability to motivate and guide team daily.
- Ability to support store manager when not on site and act in a professional manner.
- Competent to work well under pressure.
- Strong communication skills.
- The ability to work on own initiative.
