Overview:
We are currently seeking a Stores Administration Assistant to join our team at Breedon Cement, Kinnegad. As a Stores Administration Assistant, you will assist the procurement manager/Assistant manager and maintain an effective administration system.
Key Responsibilities- Assist procurement in ordering of goods and on receipt of Purchase Order. Ensure agreed procedures are followed and best price is always secured.
- Raise purchase requisitions & purchase orders as and when required and where there are discrepancies or exceptions to the original order take necessary action or bring to the attention of the procurement manager/Assistant manager.
- Maintain an effective administration system for storing and accessing information within the purchasing cycle.
- Setting up new suppliers & issuing onboarding letters
- Compile reports, logs and spreadsheets as requested.
- Monitor purchase orders for system errors and liaise with the payments team to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Provide administrative support as required.
- Compliance with Health & Safety Rules and Regulations
- Uphold the values/Culture of the business.
- To continually update all areas of knowledge required to carry out the job at maximum effectiveness and attend training when required.
- To maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach to your job and set the highest possible standards for yourself and your co-workers.
- Self-motivated and the ability to work of own initiative.
- Good communication skills. An ability to communicate effectively with all plant staff and senior management.
- High level of problem-solving skills and technical awareness.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
