Staff Nurse Day Service (35 hours)

A vacancy exists for full-time, Staff nurse at Warrenhouse Road

This centre provides a community-based service for individuals who have intellectual disabilities and complex needs. Applications are invited for this position from suitably qualified candidates. This role requires a strong ability to lead a team and to problem solve and work on own initiative.

The successful candidates will:

· Have a RNID qualification and be presently registered and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Other nursing disciplines can apply if they have at least 1-year continuous experience in working with people with an intellectual disability

· Have at least one year continuous experience in the area of intellectual disability, case management of complex health needs and positive behaviour support

· Be knowledgeable on HIQA Regulations/New Directions

· As a nurse within St Michaels House, be committed to the provision of a quality individualised service and to the principles of working in partnership with service users

· Be committed to working as part of a team

· Be able to support service users within their local community along with developing independent skills and personal goals.

· Have the ability to encourage the opportunity for learning through programmes such as Cosan and QQI courses.

· Have an understanding of the role of Clinicians within the cluster so as to be able to demonstrate how they help in providing best care for our service users.

· Experience of working with individuals with both verbal and non verbal communication

· Be committed to working as part of a team and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with the MDT

Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with HSE revised consolidated HSE Staff Nurse Scale. Closing date for receipt of applications is 31st July 2024
