Medical Social Worker

(Specified Purpose/Full-Time)

Interested candidates should:

· Be CORU registered.

· Experience as a Medical Social Worker in a hospital setting would be desirable.

· Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be able to demonstrate excellent report writing skills.

· Have excellent interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal communication abilities.

· Have proven organisational skills.

· Have the ability to work on own initiative, prioritise and manage a number of issues simultaneously and demonstrate attention to detail.

· Have the ability to contribute as a member of a team including an MDT, to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.

· Have the ability to demonstrate an understanding of local and national issues effecting Medical Social Work and the HSE.
