Stability Technician

Job Overview

Manage stability sample inventory, oversee operation/maintenance/qualification of the stability rooms and other assigned areas of responsibility within the Stability Team. 

Main Activities/Tasks
  • Manage stability sample logistics, e.g. stability sample initiation and removal from controlled storage rooms, delivery of samples to the laboratory. Disposal of stability samples.
  • Have oversight of the stability rooms, ensuring they are operated compliantly, cleaned, maintained, and qualified in a timely manner as per company procedures.
  • Comply with all aspects of the Quality System adhering to the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Completion of documentation associated with stability sample inventory and stability rooms.
  • Monitor the temperature and humidity of the stability chambers on daily basis.
  • Manage stability room temperature and humidity excursions, ensuring the chambers are returned to a compliant state in a timely manner.
  • Follow the company’s EHS policies and procedures, at all times.
  • Ensuring stability storage rooms are audit ready at all times.
Essential Criteria:

Applicants must therefore demonstrate the following essential criteria on their application form in order to be considered:
  • Educated to at least GCSE (or equivalent) in science related subjects
  • Will have at least a Grade C or equivalent in GCSE English and Mathematics.
  • Possess good communication skills, written and oral as demonstrated on their application form and at interview.
  • Demonstrate good organisational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work as part of a busy team as well as working on own initiative
Desirable Criteria:

Due to the nature of the role preference will be given to applicants demonstrating the following desirable criteria:
  • At least one years' experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Previous relevant experience in stability work in a pharmaceutical company.
Duration: Full time, permanent

Location: Newry

  • This role is based in a site that produces penicillin products and as such would not be suitable for those with a penicillin allergy
