Specialist - Maintenance Scheduler

The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for scheduling and coordinating all aspects of maintenance activities within the area of responsibility.
The Maintenance Scheduler will be the link between the multiple functions in the area relating to maintenance scheduling.
In addition, the scheduler is responsible for coordinating long term maintenance activities within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and ensuring activities are optimally planned in line with suitable maintenance windows and around manufacturing needs.
Lilly has requirements for people with a maintenance and scheduling background.
Duties will include
- Provides a forecast of upcoming work (30, 60, or 90 days into the future) and status of current schedule to management to ensure no scheduled work orders go overdue.
- Schedules all PM’s allowing ample time for materials to be kitted by spare parts dept and for the spare parts kit to be examined for completeness and accuracy.
- Organize meetings to ensure maintenance activities are appropriately scheduled in alignment with customer and maintenance needs.
- Ownership of maintenance schedule meetings.
- Work with Manufacturing coordinators and schedule planned work around manufacturing needs; and agree to downtime required for maintenance schedule.
- Shifts planned maintenance to level workload, and reschedules work not completed due to a change in end-user needs.
- Provide PM forecasts to operations on a yearly and quarterly basis so that maintenance is scheduled to ensure maximum equipment availability.
- Assist with the development of Shutdown and Product Changeover Schedules
- Develop & maintain suitable metrics to monitor WO progression.
- Identify and implement improvements to CMMS (GMARS) & maintenance activities
- Work with Maintenance planner and craft to ensure CMMS data is current
- Drive CMMS compliance improvement.
- Ensure that updates to PM’s/JP/DS’s/checklists/ Location & asset data as well as inventory data, are completed in compliance with site procedure
- Utilization of CMMS functionality to drive business process optimization
- Supporting LEAN initiative roll outs within maintenance as required.
- Supporting Time on the Floor, Quality and EH&S audits
Qualifications
Minimum of FETAC level 6 or equivalent.
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Minimum 2 years planning/scheduling experience.
- Experience in long term maintenance scheduling within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate maintenance requirements into the production schedule.
- Experience of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS – Maximo)
- Intermediate PC/IT skills and E-Systems competency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Trackwise and Regulus proficiency is an advantage).
- Ability to lead the creation and management of the maintenance schedule to facilitate planning of resources and materials.
- Any further education in an engineering related discipline is an advantage.
- Experience of working in a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical manufacturing processes is an advantage.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to respond quickly and proactively to changing priorities.
