The focus of this role will be to support an individual to realise their vision to leading a good life through Person Centred approaches in line with personal interests, skills, will and preference.

PERMANENT PART TIME 39 HOURS PER FORTNIGHT

We are looking to recruit a social care worker to work in the Kilkenny area. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to support individuals on a 1:1 basis to be more independent in their own homes and to assist them to make connections and develop relationships within their local community. We are looking for a social care worker who is motivated, enthusiastic and creative.

Essential requirements/qualities of applicant are:

· Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications).

· Successful candidates must be either on the register with CORU, or have commenced the registration process.

· Knowledge of HIQA Standards.

· A valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland;

· Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is highly desirable.

· Excellent organisational, logistical and I.T skills an advantage.

· Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to be available for any of day and sleepover shifts. In addition, we require staff members to be willing to work alone in the residents’ homes.
