Service Coordinator PA & Home Support Service
Job Brief
The Home Support Service are looking for a highly capable social care worker to join the Home Support and PA team. The successful applicant will work closely with Home Support Service Managers in the delivery and coordination of services in line with new regulations. The successful candidate should have excellent communication and leadership skills; work in an emphatic and person-centred manner and have the ability to work on their own initiative.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong communication & organisational skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage their time effectively
- Experience working in a person-centered manner
- A genuine understanding and interest in working alongside people in effecting positive opportunities and change in their lives in a meaningful way
- Experience working under a HIQA regulated service is preferable
- Knowledge of the Home Care Draft regulations June 2022
- Key working experience desirable
- Experience of working in an autism informed service is preferable
- Ability to take ownership of their own practice
- Use of own car for work purposes
Qualification Details
An appropriate 3rd level qualification in Social Care, or equivalent (minimum level 7)
-please note your qualification must be eligible for CORU registration
Other Requirements
- Full driver’s license is essential
- All applicants will be subject to Irish Garda Vetting & Reference checks
- All applicants from Countries outside the E.U. will be required to provide relevant work authorization to take up employment in Republic of Ireland. This must be submitted along with Application.
- All applicants will be required to access Overseas Police Clearance if they have lived outside of the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland more than 6 months since the age of 18 years
Other duties involved(Duties include but are not limited to the following)
- Contribute to and participate in the local service planning process and the creative development and ongoing changing needs of the service.
- Ensure a safe place of work, incorporating Western Care Association’s Dignity at Work Policy and Health & Safety requirement.
- To promote safety in all environments, in line with the Association’s practices.
- Use positive approaches to support people in line with Organisational practice.

Salary Scale
Social Care Worker Pay Scale (Scale Range €33,863 to 50,954 per annum)
This is based on full time working hours i.e. 39 per week
