About the Role:

Would you like to play a leading role in a team whose ambition is to become a world class financial crime function, exceptional at developing talent and turning information into insights?

The Financial Crime Analytics team is responsible for supporting the Advisory & Risk Management function by analysing operations and risk management system data to develop appropriate and dynamic reports and dashboards to support risk controls and KPIs. The role needs to deliver intelligent, innovative, and insightful MI and dashboards to inform decisions, realise measurable business benefit and meet regulatory deadlines and requirements

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain the highest standards of data analysis methodology to ensure that both internal & external team commitments are met within agreed timelines.
  • Develop critical workflows for data extracting, visualising with strong data storytelling skills.
  • Design and develop automated reports using SQL, Python and other data visualization applications (Power BI, Tableau) to surface insights to the entire Financial Crime function.
  • Prepare and update reports per regulators’ requirements and implement automation solution.
  • Work with large datasets. Prior experience dealing with big data is a plus.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and streamline/automate processes utilising all relevant technical tools and resources available.
  • Curiosity to make continuous improvements with significant ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to develop talent through mentoring and best practice.

In return, the successful candidate will be provided with an opportunity to develop insights into Financial Crime defence strategies and will gain significant opportunities to build on their existing experience in leadership and data/information. The successful candidate will be placed in a fast moving and challenging environment, providing scope to advance their people management skills and talent development experience

What will you bring : 

  • Minimum 3 years’ direct experience working in data analytics, regulatory and management reporting role is required, preferably within financial services however not a prerequisite.
  • Strong planning, organisational, analytical & problem-solving skills with ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and varied decision-making scenarios.
  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Accountancy, Computing, Engineering, or another numeric field is preferred while not a prerequisite.
