About the role
We are seeking a collaborative and strategic Project Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team in the successful delivery of new store openings for a leading retailer. This role will oversee projects from feasibility and design through planning, approvals, and construction, ensuring stores open on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

About you
- Act as the Client Representative on public and private sector projects in Ireland.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring compliance with all relevant Irish regulations.
- Manage contract administration, including RIAI, JCT, Public Works Contracts (PWC), FIDIC, and NEC.
- Lead procurement and tendering processes in line with the Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF).
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, local authorities, and state agencies.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Authority (HSA) regulations, BCAR (Building Control Amendment Regulations), and other statutory requirements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
- Prepare progress reports and present updates to clients and senior management.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and project teams.
Skills and experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the Irish construction industry.
- Experience as a Client Representative on medium to large-scale projects in Ireland.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, including RIAI, JCT, PWC, FIDIC, and NEC contracts.
- Background in consulting engineering or multidisciplinary consultancy.
- Expertise in project planning, cost control, and risk management within the Irish regulatory framework.
- Experience managing procurement, tendering, and claims under the Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF).
- Knowledge of Health & Safety (HSA) requirements, BCAR, and planning regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and reporting software.
- A relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or Building Surveying.
- Chartered status (or working towards it) with a relevant professional body is an advantage.
