Senior Insights Specialist

The Insights and Planning Team in daa have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Insights Specialist to play a key role in the delivery of insights that drive passenger-focused decision making and unlock growth opportunities for Dublin Airport. Dublin Airport helps over thirty million passengers through the airport in 2023. The Insights and Planning team manages an extensive programme of passenger research to understand who is using our airport and how they perceive their end-to-end journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate passenger and consumer insights using existing research data, bespoke research projects, process data and wider consumer trends.
  • Analyse data and generate high quality outputs to bring data to life using tables, written reports, PowerPoint presentations and other visual outputs.
  • Proactively engage with teams across daa and with external stakeholders to understand and anticipate knowledge needs.
  • Present to a range of teams and audiences across the airport from senior teams to frontline teams and to external stakeholders, ensuring outputs are accessible and engaging.
  • Co-ordinate and advise teams across the business on any research projects, providing advice on appropriate methodologies, including sample design, sample frame and statistical parameters.
  • Liaise with third party agencies, optimise return on budget investment and ensure the maintenance of high standards of quality for all research outputs.
  • Manage ‘virtual team’ in the design and delivery of specific, ad hoc research projects, including external third parties.
  • Proactively support the Insights Manager on management of the Dublin Airport research programme, including CSAT, tracking studies and reputation monitoring.
  • Use BI tool Forsta to generate reports, analyse data and address passenger related queries from the wider business.
  • Manage relationships with external data research agencies to maximise both efficiency and effectiveness of research outputs.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years market research and analysis experience in an agency or client-side role, including experience in the design and implementation of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and in project management of same.
  • Track record in analytics, and passion for solving business using data and information to drive out insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to mine, map and interpret high volume data sets and other forms of information.
  • Strong data mining/query management experience and confident in the use of tools such as Excel and specific BI tools, e.g., TarGit, Tableau, Power BI, Forsta (Dapresy).
  • Experience with CX / Customer satisfaction programmes and the analysis and reporting of same, e.g. NPS, CSAT.
  • Critical thinking skills with experience in making decisions or drawing conclusions from data from several different sources.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability identify patterns, opportunities, or changes in data.
  • Excellent communication skills and confident working with all stakeholder levels.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to tell a story from data and experience of presenting to groups at all levels.
  • Able to learn fast in a demanding environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with experience working independently and taking ownership of projects.
  • Commercially minded, with a strong customer service ethos.
  • Honours degree or equivalent 3rd level qualification in marketing, psychology, economics, social science, geography.
