As Komfort Kare continues to grow, we continue to look for talented and qualified care staff to join our team!

As a Senior Support Worker, in addition to standard care provision, you will be tasked with:

· Overseeing shadowing of new Care Staff in your area.

· Support Supervisors.

· Responding to calls as required.

· Create, Implement, and monitor care plans.

· Be a good role model to junior Care Staff.

· Spot Checking Home Support Workers

To be considered for this role, you must be qualified with QQI Level 5, have access to transport, have 2+ years of experience, and be available to work up to 12 hours shifts per day, including every 2nd weekends, from 8 am to 10 pm.

As a Senior Support Worker with Komfort Kare, you will be tasked with all aspects of care provision in addition to the above.

In this role – you will be attending clients who rely on us the most!

Job Description:

  • Attend and Respond to vulnerable people in their homes.
  • To complete all services for that client, as specified in their individual Care Plan.
  • To encourage and motivate clients to maintain their independence.
  • To carry out personal Care and caring tasks as depicted in the Care Plan that would normally be carried out by the client or family.
  • To work and communicate with family, relatives, local authority social service staff, Public Health Nurses/community-based nurses, and other members of the Primary care team.
  • To use equipment (hoists, gloves, etc.) provided by Komfort Kare, to assist clients in their independence, following completion of use of this equipment.
  • To assist with the prompting of clients’ medication, as prescribed by their GP.
  • To assist with shopping and other errands.
  • To assist with light domestic duties if necessary.
  • To contact emergency care services in cases of emergency.
  • To document and report all updates to the office.

Key requirements

  • 2 year experience in a Health setting
  • QQI Modules in Care Skill and Care of the Older Person
  • Full Clean driving license - Essential
  • Must have own transport - Essential
  • Fully Available from 08:00 - 22:00 for care calls
