Senior Finance Analyst

Job Overview
An opportunity has arisen within our finance department for a Senior Finance Analyst. The successful candidate will be a key member of the central finance team, reporting to the Group Financial Controller and will be responsible for a number of subsidiary companies and all financial aspects associated with those companies.

Main Tasks/Activities:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, monthly account reconciliations and annual statutory financial statements for three entities (combined turnover of approx. £40m).
  • Overhead analysis and reporting.
  • Preparation of VAT/GST returns.
  • Review of monthly payroll.
  • Annual statutory audit completion.
  • Preparation and monitoring of budgets and cashflow forecasts.
  • Review and development of financial controls.
  • Preparation of statutory returns and surveys.
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required.

Essential Criteria:
  • Part qualified accountant, or 3 years’ experience in finance function of multi-national company.
  • Experience in accounting and financial systems.
  • Experience in MS office applications including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills along with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.

Desirable Criteria:
  • Large multi-national industry experience.
  • Previous experience of month end procedures.
  • Previous experience of Spectra/Sage or similar financial package.
  • Experience in the preparation of statutory and management accounts.
  • Experience in preparing budgets and cash flow forecasts.

Duration: Full time, 12 month FTC
Location: Newry
