The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics are in the exciting position of recruiting for the following posts in Children and Young Adult Services:-
Grade: Senior Dietitian 0.5 post
Contract Type: Permanent - part time
The successful candidate will:
· Provide an evidence based nutrition and dietetic service in keeping with best practice to children with multiple and complex disabilities, attending St Michael’s House. Priority for dietetic input is given to children with complex medical needs, in particular those who require nutrition support, including enteral tube feeding.
· Deliver dietetic services in a number of settings including clinics, schools, and home visits.
- Work closely with a team of established Dietitians and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and report directly to the Dietitian Manager.
- Be highly motivated and will have the unique opportunity to contribute towards planning enhancing and expanding dietetic services at St Michael’s House.
Essential Requirements:
- BSc Human Nutrition and Diploma in Dietetics, OR an equivalent recognised qualification in clinical nutrition and dietetics, as approved by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU*.
- Registered with Dietitian Registration Board, CORU**.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A minimum of three years post qualification dietetic experience, to include the area of paediatric dietetics.
- Excellent communication, initiative and time management skills
- Full clean driver's licence and access to own car.
*If essential qualification(s) have not been obtained in the Republic of Ireland, candidates will require validation of appropriate qualification(s) by the Department of Health, where applicable, or by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.
** Candidates who are awaiting CORU Registration are welcome to apply but must be eligible to work in Ireland.
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience of working in the area of children with disability.

Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with 2024 HSE revised consolidated pay scale, based on working a 35 hour week.
Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale.
