Scanning Operator

Main purpose of the role: Ensure the store`s scanning systems are operated efficiently and effectively at all times and provide accurate and timely information to management.

The ideal candidate will have/be: • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) • Excellent communication skills • Ability to engage with and prioritise customer needs • Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment • Previous customer service experience is an advantage.

Main duties: • Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative • Ensure integrity of product information and pricing • Print required daily reports and take appropriate action • Manage pricing and setup of in-store promotions • Ensure backup of systems are completed daily • Ensure the correct cost price is against local suppliers • Understand the importance of the role and how it can impact on the store • Attend relevant training as required and implement learnings in store.
